How to Increase Website Traffic Without Using Social Media

Website Traffic. Five simple internet strategies that result in 100,000-page visits each month
Social media isn’t the only strategy to drive visitors to your website.

In reality, there are several strategies to generate traffic without utilizing social media at all. With almost little social media advertising, my portfolio of websites receives over 100,000 page visits every month. This post contains five of my favorite methods for increasing website traffic without utilizing social media.

Why Not Just Advertise Your Website?

Before we get into those delectable strategies, let’s take a moment to reflect on why we’re doing this in the first place. Isn’t the purpose to lure them to our website so we can solve their issues, show them our advertisements, and have them buy our product or service? So why not just pour money into advertising? As it turns out, there are a number of reasons.

Advertising may be costly, and it does not always reach the intended audience. Furthermore, individuals are growing more resistant to this form of advertising and are more inclined to disregard it entirely.

Furthermore, it is not sustainable.
You must continue to pay for traffic on a monthly basis. There are far superior alternatives.

5 Strategies to Boost Website Traffic Without Using Social Media

There should be at least five viable techniques to drive traffic to your website without constantly posting on social media. Here are the five strategies that have proven to be the most effective for me.

1) Become a Blogger Guerilla
As a small business owner, you can’t afford to waste time and money on marketing methods that don’t work. You must be ruthless and go for the jugular.

What exactly does this mean? Essentially, you must identify and exploit places where your competition is susceptible. Let’s pretend you’re in the SEO industry. Your competition is a large corporation with a massive website and an army of content writers. They’re focusing on the big keywords and doing an excellent job of it.

For example:

The huge, crucial questions, you know.
These “gorilla warfare” strategies have proven to efficiently attract visitors to my websites.

When you target tiny keywords that others may ignore, you may quickly establish a competitive advantage. You may also avoid direct conflicts with larger or more established websites by being flexible and adaptable.

2) Take a Shark’s Fin

One of my favorite methods for coming up with blog subjects that will increase traffic and conversions is the “steal from a shark” strategy.

It’s not technically theft.
It’s closer to “swimming with sharks.” Just as little fish swim near sharks to avoid predators and devour the shark’s dead skin, bloggers may feast on larger blogs in their specialty.

This is how it works:

  1. Next, identify your industry’s top rivals. The sharks are here. If you don’t know who your “sharks” are, just start searching inquiries about your site. The search results will be dominated by your major rivals.
  2. Secondly, utilize a keyword tool such as Ahreds, ShineRanker, or Semrush to determine which themes those sharks are ranking for. You wish to “steal” these subjects.
  3. Write about subtopics relating to those bigger, money-related topics. For example, if you work in the mortgage sector and one of your sites ranks for the keyword “mortgage rates,” you might produce a blog article titled “5 Ways to Get the Best Mortgage Rate in Vermont.”
  4. Before you compose an article, research the search volume and competition for each topic.

You may be certain that you’re writing on topics that people are looking for online if you use this strategy. When you combine it with excellent content, you’ll be well on your way to attracting targeted traffic to your website.

3) Make Love To Google

Making love to Google may seem like a foolish idea, but it’s crucial if you want your website to rank high in search results.

After all, Google is the largest and most popular search engine, so optimizing your site for their algorithms makes sense. While there is no assurance that you will attain first-page results, following these methods will increase your chances significantly.

To begin, you must generate content that precisely fits search intent.

Your material should be relevant and instructive if someone searches for a certain keyword or phrase. Simply putting keywords into your content isn’t enough if you want to rank well. You must also deliver value.

Furthermore, your content must be optimized for on-page SEO.

This includes employing the appropriate keywords and phrases, as well as including additional aspects such as title tags, photos, and subheadings. You will be far more likely to achieve success in the SERPS if you take the effort to optimize your site for Google.

If you want to rank high on Google, remember to shower them with high-quality, relevant material. It’s one of the most effective techniques to boost your chances of success.

4) Joining an MLM

The “joining an MLM” strategy is an excellent approach to creating authority silos. Before you start picturing pyramid schemes and shady sales practices, let me emphasize that I’m not proposing you join an MLM. Don’t do it.

There is, however, a lot to be said about the way these organizations are constructed, and if you can reproduce that structure in an ethical and honest manner, you’ll be well on your way to developing a profitable blogging business.

There are several approaches to organizing content. One way is authority silos, sometimes known as topical authority. This method includes categorizing content by subject or theme.

On a beauty site, for example, there may be a content silo devoted to nail care. There would be articles and postings in that silo about topics like selecting the best toenail clippers, avoiding ingrown nails, and at-home pedicure techniques.

Readers can discover information more readily if comparable stuff is kept together.

Furthermore, because the topics are connected, the author may position himself as an authority in that certain area. This increases the authority of your website (or domain), which affects your Google results.

5) Launch a Virus

Content must be shared in order to go viral. That is, it must be fascinating, useful, or otherwise beneficial to the reader. It should also be simple to share, either by being easily shared on social media or by being simple to email or link to on other platforms.

The greatest strategy to develop viral content is to concentrate on producing something really beneficial to the reader.

Other characteristics of viral content include:

  • Newsworthy
  • Hard to replicate (by competitors)
  • Includes stats & charts
  • Includes original research
  • Funny or cute
  • Offers free tools or resources

You may boost the odds of your material becoming viral by following these recommendations.

Here is a breakdown of key points for getting traffic without using social media:

  • Be a scruffy and small-scale guerilla blogger.
  • Swim with sharks and feast on their money topics.
  • Increase your Google rankings by creating hyper-relevant content. Use an MLM pyramid structure to create impregnable content silos of authority.
  • Create shareable content that people will share on social media. That’s a win-win situation.

Last Thoughts

I practically never promote new information on social media when I publish it on my websites or other online venues When I do utilize social media, it is mostly to cross-promote my YouTube channel or to transmit social signals to Google so that it can index my content.

I would not devote too much time to social networking. Instead, focus on keyword research and publishing highly useful pieces of evergreen content.
